HomeServices expands in Minnesota

Edina Realty, a HomeServices of America company, recently announced the acquisition of the real estate brokerage business of Fahey Sales Agency Inc., which has offices in Belle Plaine, Hutchinson and New Prague, Minn.

“This acquisition gives us a critical presence in what is considered the outer ring of expansion in the western and southwestern metro corridors of the Twin Cities,” said Ron Peltier, chief executive officer of Edina Realty and president and chief executive officer of HomeServices. “The Fahey real estate brokerage offices will be converted to Edina Realty offices, giving us a good nucleus from which to further expand our operations in these high-growth areas.

Fahey Sales Agency Inc. was founded by Joseph J. Fahey Sr. in 1947 and is owned and operated by Terry Fahey of New Prague, Joe Fahey Jr. of Belle Plaine and Jim Fahey of Hutchinson. In addition to being licensed with Edina Realty, the Faheys will continue to conduct auctions and appraisals under the name of Fahey Sales Auctioneers and Appraisers. Both organizations will collaborate in conducting real estate auctions.
