Fidelity adopts real estate bundling technology

Fidelity National Financial, a Fortune 500 provider of products, services and technology to the financial and real estate industries, has announced plans to develop a new tool for its title agencies that will enable bundling of services.

The new service, dubbed FNF.net, comes from a partnership between Fidelity and RealEC Technologies, a secure Electronic Partner Network for the title industry.

FNF.net deploys three technology components from RealEC: the RealEC Exchange, iSelect and iBundle. The technologies will allow title agencies to create bundles of services (such as appraisal, credit, AVM and flood) based on their specific criteria. These bundles can then be offered through agency-branded Web portals for utilization by real estate agents and lender customers in the marketplace.

FNF.net will be a one-stop-shop for Fidelity agencies to review vendors, define guidelines needed for selecting specific vendors, and then create bundles of services, Jason Nadeau, CIO of RealEC technologies, said.

“For each transaction, users simply log on and select their bundle preference, such as a home equity bundle, resale bundle or construction bundle,” Nadeau said. “From there, the system automatically orders the various services defined for that bundle.”

Currently in development, FNF.net should be ready for launch in the first quarter of 2005.
