Northeast office, flex space changes hands

Spaulding & Slye Colliers has negotiated the sale of a 300,000-square-foot office/R&D and flex building portfolio in Massachusetts.

The total value of the transactions was not disclosed.

The properties are located at 220 and 222 Mill Road and 25 Industrial Ave. in Chelmsford, and 289 Great Road in Acton.

The 220 and 222 Mill Road property comprises two-story office/R&D buildings totaling 165,000 square feet, which were constructed in 1984 and 1985. The buildings were 100 percent leased at the time of sale to Sycamore Networks and Potpourri Holdings Inc.

The 25 Industrial Ave. property comprises 50,000 square feet of flex space that was constructed in 1976. It was 100 percent leased at the time of sale to four tenants, including Airvana Inc. and Camp Dresser & McKee.

Located 5 miles south along Routes 2 and 27, 289 Great Road is a three-story, 85,000-square-foot office building constructed in 1983. Lumigent Technologies, GeoSyntec Consultants Inc. and InfoTree are among six tenants that occupy more than 65 percent of the building.

New Boston Fund, which had purchased the flex buildings in separate transactions in 1997 and 1998, sold the properties to Everest Partners LLC.
