CityCrybs allows bidding for property placement

CityCrybs, which offers online real estate rental and sale listings for the New York City area, has emerged from beta testing, the company announced this week.

CityCrybs now offers a “pay-per-click” marketing service called AdReal, which allows Realtors to increase the exposure of their listings by bidding against one another for premium placement of their properties. The top bidder receives the premium property placement on the site.

“Disenfranchised with the status quo, CityCrybs has created a site that benefits both the Realtor and the consumer,” CityCrybs stated in the announcement, and the site “does not feature distracting advertising banners or useless consumer functions.”

Consumers who use the site can establish a relationship with an online Realtor, and they can communicate directly with a Realtor to schedule a viewing, or set up e-mail alerts for newly available properties. There is no sign up required to peruse listings of fee and no-fee apartments.

CityCrybs has more than 60,000 unique visitors and 2 million hits per month, the company announced. The company was founded in January 2004.

Anyone who owns a property or who is a licensed Realtor can post a listing on the site. Listings can feature up to five photographs and one floor plan.

The site carries property rental and sale listings for New York City, the Bronx, Queens, Long Island, Suffolk County, Nassau County, Westchester, Staten Island and Brooklyn.
