Ellie Mae’s loan origination system gets personal

Individual mortgage professionals now have their own version of Encompass, Ellie Mae‘s mortgage management software, with the release of Encompass Personal Edition, the company said today.

The product is easy to install and simplified for non-networked offices, the company said. It offers an overview of the loan pipeline so brokers and loan officers can monitor the process, control of loan activities from the desktop, access to Ellie Mae’s ePASS Network and an integrated contact manager.

Encompass has been adopted by leading originators such as Carteret Mortgage Corp., Amstar Mortgage Corp. and Stockton Turner & Co. Now individual loan professionals in smaller offices have their own version of the software.

According to Ellie Mae, sole proprietorships make up 40 percent of the loan origination software market, and this version of Encompass was designed specifically for that group. The product costs $195, which includes free training and support for the first year.

“No other software offers the advanced capabilities of Encompass, and individual loan officers and brokers wanted all that functionality without the extra collaboration features and network capabilities of our multi-user version,” said Jonathan Corr, Ellie Mae’s senior vice president of products, in a statement.
