Fidelity, ComplianceEase form real estate partnership

A provider of software products for the lending industry has teamed with a provider of regulatory compliance and risk management products to offer a more comprehensive suite of tools.

Empower, part of the Fidelity Information Services division of Fidelity National Financial and a provider of software solutions to the lending community, and ComplianceEase, a division of LogicEase Solutions Inc., a provider of regulatory compliance and risk management solutions to the financial services industry, formed a strategic partnership that will incorporate the ComplianceEase automated compliance product into the Empower mortgage origination system.

By leveraging the Empower platform, lenders can simply and cost-effectively access the (ComplianceEase’s) ComplianceAnalyzer tool from within Empower’s loan origination system, according to an announcement today.

“With this connectivity, users can…access our automated compliance solution from within the Empower environment, via the click of a mouse or as an automatic trigger. This bypasses the integration challenges many lenders face, and enables them to immediately start auditing loans for compliance with ComplianceAnalyzer,” said David Girling, executive vice president of ComplianceEase.

Twenty of the nation’s top 100 mortgage lenders currently use the Empower platform, according to the announcement.

“Integrating the ComplianceEase products into our loan origination system will provide a unique offering to the marketplace,” said Gary Groshner, executive director of support systems at Empower. “Access to ComplianceAnalyzer via the Empower platform supports the ‘one-stop-shopping’ approach our customers prefer.”

ComplianceAnalyzer uses analytics to automatically identify instances of non-compliance and explains them in reports. This online system renders real-time, transaction-based decisions and indicates to users the level of risk of non-compliance.

ComplianceEase, founded in 2000, is based in San Francisco with offices in Orange County, Manhattan and Redmond, Wash.

FIS’ software processes nearly 50 percent of all U.S. residential mortgages, it has processing and technology relationships with 45 of the top 50 U.S. banks and more than 2,800 small and mid-sized U.S. financial institutions and it has clients in more than 50 countries who use its processing and outsourcing products and services.
