Long & Foster steps up relocation business

The Long & Foster Cos. is investing in the development and growth of its global employee relocation division, Long & Foster Relocation Management Solutions, and announced a few changes to the division last week.

Long & Foster has formed a separate LLC and the company name will change from Long & Foster Relocation Management Solutions to Vision Relocation Group, the company said. The company also said it will invest monies for acquisition, joint ventures and the growth and development of existing operations that support its clients.

The company has named Rebecca Spencer as president of Vision Relocation Group. Spencer previously has served as vice president of Long & Foster’s Relocation Management Solutions division.

The Long & Foster Companies is comprised of Long & Foster Real Estate, Prosperity Mortgage Co., Mid-States Title Insurance Agency, and Long & Foster Insurance Agencies, and Vision Relocation Group, LLC.

Long & Foster has more than 218 residential real estate sales offices throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, Delaware, West Virginia, New Jersey and North Carolina, with more than 15,000 sales associates and annual sales volume for 2004 of $56.3 billion for all the Long & Foster Companies.

Vision Relocation Group is a global relocation management and consulting company headquartered in Fairfax, Va. The company’s menu of services includes relocation consulting, policy development, outsourced administration, expense tracking and reimbursement, relocation tax assistance, home marketing and home sale, destination services, group move services and international assignment management services.
