Coldwell real estate expands in New Jersey

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y., acquired the assets of Singer Real Estate in Springfield, N.J., Coldwell Banker said today.

Gary and Ina Singer, who founded their namesake company three decades ago, will remain with the newly combined organization in sales roles, Coldwell Banker said.

The two will work closely with Alan Wurman, who has joined the Springfield office as branch manager, according to Coldwell Banker. Wurman has been a successful sales associate for the past 10 years in the Marlboro/Manalapan office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

“For the past 30 years, the real estate professionals at Singer Real Estate have been a driving force in Springfield,” said Ronnie Laiken, president and chief operating officer for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y.

Laiken said the acquisition would be “the perfect complement” to nearby Coldwell Banker offices.

“We are extremely pleased to bring together these two dynamic market leaders into one organization to better serve consumers looking to buy or sell real estate at the crossroads of Union and Essex Counties,” Laiken said.

Singer Real Estate and its more than 40 sales associates accounted for $86 million in total closed sales volume during the past 12 months, the company said.

With this announcement, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has more than 3,700 sales associates operating in 58 offices in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y., accounting for a combined total closed sales volume of nearly $13 billion over the past year.
