Software attacks real estate paperwork

Real estate software provider VREO today released Real Estate Dashboard, an electronic signature and document management software for the real estate industry.

Real Estate Dashboard is optimized for use on VREO’s REDtablet, a tablet PC configured specifically for the real estate industry, but will run on any tablet PC hardware.

Major features of Real Estate Dashboard include easy e-signatures and paperless document management capabilities.

The software aims to simplify the process of capturing e-signatures on a tablet PC by replicating the pen and paper experience for Realtors and their clients. It also enables agents to electronically fax or e-mail transaction documents, and faxes can be received directly into the software.

All documents and forms imported into the software are automatically and continuously backed-up and synchronized to an online vault. Users can set permissions to files and folders to grant clients and service providers access to specific documents at any time. Brokers and managers also can access documents in agents’ vaults.

The Real Estate Dashboard is optimized for VREO’s REDtablet, which runs Windows XP professional and Microsoft Office and has the computing power of a standard laptop or desktop. In addition to using a keyboard, users can write on the screen using a digital pen.

A demonstration, free trial versions and purchasing information are available at http://www.vreo.com/.

VREO is a privately held company that provides Web sites and Web-based software to real estate brokers, agents and franchise organizations. The company in April acquired Criterion Corp., a company that sold tablet PCs to the real estate industry.
