Real estate company launches TV station

Shorewest, Realtors, a family-owned real estate company in Wisconsin, announced today that it has launched a 24-hour television channel that will promote the company’s agents and property listings.

The company, founded in 1946, has 22 sales offices and about 1,150 full-time sales associates serving Southeast Wisconsin. In addition to real estate brokerage services, the company offers relocation, mortgage, title and insurance services.

Shorewest TV is available on Time Warner Cable digital channel 139 in the region. About 150 Shorewest agents have produced 30-second personal marketing commercials that will be featured on the channel.

“Shorewest is a company of firsts,” said Joseph A. Horning, president of Shorewest, Realtors. “From our comprehensive Web site to our bilingual hotline, we lead in using technology to ensure customer satisfaction. Shorewest TV is one more way for us to do just that.”

Shorewest, Realtors is reportedly the first real estate company – local or nationwide – to start its own 24-hour television channel. Hosted by veteran Milwaukee news anchor Renee Riddle, the channel features active property listings programming in 30-minute segments that are specific to individual communities.

Communities featured include: Brookfield/Elm Grove, Germantown Area, Jefferson County, Kenosha County, Lake Country, Menomonee Falls Area, Mequon/Thiensville, Milwaukee East/Downtown, Milwaukee North/Northwest Suburban, Milwaukee South, Northern Ozaukee County, Northshore, Oconomowoc Area, Racine County, South Shore, Southern Waukesha County, Southwest Suburban, Walworth County, Washington County/Surrounding Areas, Watertown/Dodge County, Waukesha, Wauwatosa, West Bend/Hartford Area and Waukesha County East.

Each single-family listing displayed on the channel features exterior and interior pictures, a detailed description of the property, and the listing agent’s photo and contact information. Additional listing programming includes two-family and multi-family properties, commercial properties and “exceptional homes.” Other planned programming will provide information about the home-buying process, mortgages and real estate careers.
