Real estate company launches mapping tool

A Denver-based real estate technology company has launched a lead-generation tool for real estate agents that allows consumers to search for homes visually using Google’s mapping platform.

Blue Fire Group Inc. launched the myMappingBuddy lead-generation tool this month.

MyMappingBuddy allows its agent clients to add the mapping tool to their Web sites. The service costs $199 to set up and $39 per month for a single agent Web site, the company announced.

“We wanted to provide a tool that made it ridiculously easy and a lot of fun for consumers to search for homes. Such an exciting way to search for homes makes registration by the consumer a simple decision. This makes it a great lead generation mechanism for Realtors,” said Paul Eastwood, founder and president of Blue Fire Group, in a statement.

The company announced that its mapping tool has been designed to integrate to any MLS with a limited amount of programming. The tool is fully operational in the Denver area “and Blue Fire Group is making it available in any MLS region as an own-brand solution for third party services providers,” the company said.

The company also announced the launch of Single Property Sites Inc., a property listing tool for real estate agents and brokers that can assist in creating a custom Web site for a minimum price of $5 per listing per month. This tool is intended to provide “a unique emphasis on the property rather than the agent or brokerage,” according to the company announcement.
