Real estate broker uses power of online video to market homes

Inman Stories and Northern California real estate leader Alain Pinel Realtors have launched a new private-label video magazine that showcases San Francisco Bay Area luxury homes using Internet movies produced by Inman News.

“We’re excited to be working with an innovative real estate company like Alain Pinel,” said John McWeeny, VP Business Development for Inman Stories. “Alain Pinel was one of the first in the real estate industry to establish a Web presence, and now the company’s use of films to market California luxury homes coincides with its pioneering image.”

“Alain Pinel’s use of films is a perfect match with our global Internet movie project,” he added.

Inman Stories has produced three films for Alain Pinel, which are being distributed on Yahoo!, the Wall St. Journal’s online real estate site, and MSN Video. Professional filmmakers capture the essence of these unique homes, engaging the viewer while letting the story behind the property unfold.

The movies are presented in an electronic magazine format with each page containing a different Alain Pinel Realtors film. The magazine also features the real estate company’s vitals, contact information for each of the firm’s offices, and a link back to the Alain Pinel Realtors Web site.

Alain Pinel has been at the cutting edge of the industry since launching in 1990 with three people who saw residential real estate a little differently than other firms at the time. The company, which has 20 offices throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, was among the first real estate brokerages to have a Web site in 1993.

Inman News launched Inman Stories in July at Real Estate Connect in San Francisco. The video magazine focuses on high-end homes, destinations and interesting people. Inman Stories is making dozens of new videos each week and is working with big brokers around the country.
