Inman Stories adds key executives

Online video production company, Inman Stories, has landed three new executives:

Jason Puris has been named Inman Stories’ vice president of production; Marc Prager will become senior director of production; and Kelly Duane will take over as content director.

Puris has a wide range of film and television experience and is the founder of Puris Entertainment, where he recently completedthe production of an original series entitled, “Guide House,” which willpremiere in April 2006 on ESPN.

Puris also served as vice president ofdevelopment and production at ReganMedia, where hedeveloped an impressive slate of projects, including a series for A&E,NBC and HBO, and feature films for Universal Studios and FOX. Puris graduated from Boston University with a bachelor of science in film and television.

Prager has extensive experience in production and writing, including key positions at The History Channel, NBC News, ABC News, LinkTV and Pixar Animation Studios. Prager holds a master’s degree in journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Duane founded Loteria Films in 2001 after she co-directed and produced the documentary film, “See How They Run,” chronicling the 1999 Willie Brown mayoral bid for re-election in San Francisco. “See How They Run,” distributed by Docurama, was broadcast on PBS stations and screened in film festivals across the United States.

Duane went on to direct and produce “Monumental: David Brower’s Fight for Wild America.” “Monumental” premiered at the Smithsonian Museum of American History, screened in more than 75 film festivals worldwide, and was theatrically released by First Run Features in the fall of 2004. Prior to film work Duane was a photojournalist and photo editor for Random House and Chronicle Books.

“We are expanding our team as the business explodes,” said Inman Stories COO John McWeeny. “The Web is quickly adopting the video magic and big brokers and agents across the country are using our services as they see the magic of video.”

Inman Stories was founded by Inman News publisher Bradley Inman.
