Homescape is a division of Classified Ventures, a joint venture of media companies looking to capitalize on online advertising in real estate, automotive and rentals. Online ad spending is expected to reach $3 billion by 2009, and 34 percent of all annual real estate ad spend is expected to be online by then, according to estimates from research firm Borrell Associates.

Homescape hosts and manages data and real estate Web sites for 150 major local newspapers across the country. The company generates leads from consumers that view properties online at newspaper Web sites and ask to be connected with the property listing agent or broker.

“Homescape is among a growing number of organizations that are using Internet video to communicate directly to their affiliates and staff.  We’re excited about working with them using this powerful new communications medium,” said John McWeeney, vice president of business development for Inman Stories.

Inman Stories was launched by Inman News in July 2005. The video production company focuses on high-end homes, destinations and interesting people. Inman Stories is making dozens of new videos each week and is working with major brokerage companies around the country.
