FNC launches free order page for appraiser clients

FNC, a provider of collateral information systems to major U.S. lenders, has launched a free, personalized order page for its appraiser clients, the company said today.

The Web order pages can be customized by appraisers to manage all their orders, clients and prospects, according to FNC.

The pages are the first of other planned enhancements to FNC’s AppraisalPort Internet worksite for appraisers, the company said. The new extensions, known as AppraisalPort Pro, are being developed for FNC’s appraiser clients.

“For me, going back and forth on the phone wastes so much time,” said Rich Tyack, president of FNC client Tyack Valuation Consultants in the Chicago area. “I prefer to correspond electronically. It’s a much more organized, effective, convenient way to communicate.”

Tyack’s firm has used AppraisalPort for one year and volunteered to test AppraisalPort Pro’s Web Order Page for one month. Tyack said in a statement that the order page has potential to bring in new clients.

“When a new client wants to know about you and your business – your area, your history, your licenses and certifications – you don’t have to spend time gathering all that information for them,” Tyack said. “You direct them to your Web page. And if they want to do business with you, they can place an order there.”

According to the company, the AppraisalPort Pro Web Order Page can be set up quickly. Appraisers can personalize it with a valuation company’s logo and preferences. The service is free for one year to AppraisalPort users and the only cost involved is the regular AppraisalPort transaction fee, the company said.
