Nevada brokerage makes big push for paperless real estate

Realty Executives of Nevada has partnered with real estate technology provider VREO for a company-wide paperless real estate initiative, the companies announced Tuesday.

VREO’s Real Estate Dashboard electronic signature software enables real estate professionals and their clients to electronically sign documents, eliminating a lot of paper from typical real estate transactions.

Once signed, documents may be electronically faxed or e-mailed directly from Real Estate Dashboard, and all are automatically backed up to a Web site offering permission-based access to clients and third parties who wish to view or download transaction documents.

Realty Executives of Nevada has more than 650 agents in nine office locations.

“We want to be completely paperless by the end of 2006,” Jeff Moore, broker/owner of Realty Executives of Nevada said. “The growing popularity of Tablet PCs has opened up an incredible opportunity to manage and sign documents in a way that is easy for both agents and consumers.”

San Luis Obispo, Calif.-based VREO in 2005 acquired REDtablet, a company that sold tablet PCs to the real estate industry. VREO is a premiere member of Microsoft’s Tablet PC Partner Program.

VREO will conduct quarterly Real Estate Dashboard training events at Realty Executives facilities as well as weekly online training sessions to support the initiative. VREO also will make its flagship REDtablet PC available to Realty Executives agents, though the Real Estate Dashboard software will run on any Tablet PC, the company said.
