Long-term mortgage interest rates remained the same on Tuesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield decreased to 4.92 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average was unchanged at 6.07 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate remained at 5.76 percent. The 1-year adjustable decreased slightly to 5.19 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield decreased to 5 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 51.7 points, or 0.46 percent, finishing at 11,089.63. The Nasdaq lost 22.92 points, or 0.98 percent, closing at 2,310.35.
