Shopping plaza deal completed in Rhode Island

CB Richard Ellis/New England this week announced it has brokered the sale of Diamond Hill Plaza, a 385,942-square-foot shopping center in Woonsocket, R.I.

Epoch Diamond Hill LLC sold the property to WP Realty for $23.5 million.

Diamond Hill Plaza is located at 2000 Diamond Hill Road (Route 114). It was 90 percent leased at the time of sale by major tenants that included Lowe’s Home Improvement, Burlington Coat Factory, Price Rite, Staples and Dollar Tree. The property was originally constructed in 1971 and expanded in 2001 with the construction of a new, 165,000-square-foot Lowe’s Home Improvement. The center is situated on approximately 45 acres.

The city of Woonsocket is conveniently located within commuting distance to Providence, the state capital 14 miles to the south, and is in a central position between Providence, Boston and Worcester. The city has direct interstate connection to Route 146 and I-295 by the new Route 99 Woonsocket Industrial Highway.
