Former Hershey’s plant sells in Pa.

Representing RAF Industries Inc., Binswanger recently negotiated the sale of Hershey’s former 293,140-square-foot candy manufacturing plant in Pennsburg, Pa.

The sale price was $5.7 million.

The one-story building, located on approximately 30 acres at 2452 Quakertown Rd., features 9,535 square feet of modern office space and 23 large dock doors.

Campania International, a division of RAF Industries, Inc., will be utilizing the facility as its corporate headquarters and manufacturing plant for terra cotta planters, stone bird baths and fountains, and benches. It will occupy 150,000 square feet, according to a press statement, and is expected to lease out the remainder of the building.

RAF Industries is a Pennsylvania-based holding company that acquires and operates middle-market manufacturing companies. It currently owns 17 portfolio companies and has investments in a number of venture capital opportunities.
