Long-term mortgage interest rates were lower Wednesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield stayed at 5.13 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average dipped to 6.18 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate was down to 5.85 percent. The 1-year adjustable held at 5.33 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield slipped to 5.19 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 2.88 points, or 0.02 percent, finishing at 11,642.65. The Nasdaq lost 17.51 points, or 0.75 percent, closing at 2,320.74.
