Oneida inks lease for new space in Georgia

Binswanger represented Oneida in the negotiation of a long-term lease in a brand-new, 500,000-square-foot distribution center in Pembroke, Ga.

The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

Oneida, an importer of flatware, dinnerware, glassware, china, and linens, currently operates out of a distribution center in New York but decided to move its operations to Georgia due to the convenient transportation infrastructure it offers, especially its ports.

The new facility, which is situated on 32 acres in the Interstate Centre industrial park, is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of 2006. Nearly 150 workers are expected to be employed once the property is fully operational.

Philadelphia-based Binswanger is an international, full-service real estate organization.
