Old Republic launches national default service division

Old Republic National Title Insurance Co., one of the nation’s largest title insurers, recently launched a national default services division in response to the expected increase and need for loan default services.

The new division will operate under the purview of the company’s National Services Group and will be located in the National Residential Operations Center in Fairlawn, Ohio. It will provide specialized services to lenders in the loss mitigation, default services, foreclosure and REO (real estate owned) arena.

James B. Stokes, vice president, National Default Service Division, will manage the newly formed division and be responsible for its growth with a special emphasis on maintaining customer relationships and meeting lender clients’ default management needs, the company said in an announcement.

The Old Republic Title Insurance Group, made up of Old Republic National Title Insurance Co., American Guaranty Title Insurance Co., Mississippi Valley Title Insurance Co., and Old Republic General Title Insurance Corp., is one of the nation’s largest title insurance groups, operating in 49 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
