Home-valuation tool lands on broker Web sites

Real estate technology and data service provider Visient today announced the launch of a new home-valuation tool in major metropolitan markets that uses public record and multiple listing service data.

The product, called Your Home Valuation, is now available in Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis, Phoenix, and Sarasota and Tampa, Fla., the company said. The home-pricing tool aims to help brokers generate consumer leads while offering a broker-branded, Web-based home value.

Visient partnered with IntelliReal, a Colorado-based real estate technology company, to create the home-pricing technology, which integrates into real estate brokers’ Web sites. Consumers can get basic property information and recent home values by entering a property address. For a more detailed look, consumers have to register and the broker will then send them a branded comparable market analysis, or CMA.

Visient CEO Ira Luntz said the home-pricing tool “was designed and built from the ground up exclusively to serve as a branded lead generation product for the real estate broker.”

Many services already exist online to connect consumers with broker and agent CMAs. However many of them are offered by third-party companies that charge agents a fee for the consumer contact information. Visient’s position is to offer a similar service directly to brokers so they don’t have to pay referral or lead-generation fees.
