Dominion expands through acquisition

Dominion Enterprises, which publishes a handful of real estate magazines, has acquired Pullan Communications, a Los Angeles-based real estate marketing and Web site developer, for an undisclosed cash purchase price.

The move marks another step in Dominion’s goal to expand its real estate marketing services. “With this acquisition, we now provide print and Internet advertising and marketing services to over 150,000 real estate customers nationwide,” said Peter Ill, senior vice president and general manager of Dominion’s Internet real estate properties.

Pullan has nearly 6,000 customers nationwide and annual revenue of about $2.3 million, according to a press statement from Dominion.

The acquisition follows Dominion’s purchase of Anaheim, Calif.-based Advanced Access in September 2006.

Dominion’s existing real estate Internet businesses include: Homes.com, a homes-for-sale portal and Web services provider; Best Image Marketing/Number1Expert, an Internet marketing company; Katabat, a lead management provider for brokers; and HarmonHomes.com.

Norfolk, Va.-based Dominion is also one of the largest publishers of free-distribution residential real estate magazines, including Harmon Homes, Homes Solutions, New Homes & Living and Distinctive Homes.

Terry Pullan, president of Pullan Communications who founded the company with his wife Andrea in 2001, will continue with Dominion as general manager of the business.
