Fidelity real estate division buys Realigent assets

Fidelity National Real Estate Solutions, a division of Fidelity National Financial, has acquired the assets of Realigent, an Irvine, Calif.-based technology company that provides software for real estate professionals in a move that boosts Fidelity’s real estate technology offerings.

Fidelity’s real estate division will now own and offer Realigent’s rDesk, CMA Deluxe, VantagePoint and SearchPoint, as well as HomeSeekers.com, Realigent’s consumer portal for locating properties and Realtors, the company announced today.

“This asset acquisition marks a tremendous boost in capabilities for FNRES, Realigent’s products and our clients who use them,” John Hensley, a senior vice president for FNRES said in a statement.

“Integrating such a proven, award-winning product line into the FNRES family enables us to enhance our leading-edge technology offerings for brokers and agent-clients, as well as through the company’s well-established MLS channel. Realigent’s rDesk, which earned Clareity’s Best Technology of Show Award in 2005, along with VantagePoint, SearchPoint and CMA Deluxe, will surpass the expectations of even the most aggressive real estate professional,” Hensley said.

Among the MLS’s with existing relationships with Realigent are the nation’s largest — Southern California’s SoCalMLS and MRIS, based in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area.

Two years ago Fidelity acquired Realigent’s Lightning CMA Plus. The online version, CMA Deluxe, is among the 2007 acquisitions.

A description of some of the assets acquired:

  • RDesk is a Web-based application that integrates productivity and business tools into a single, personalized real estate agent portal. The technology is compatible with any MLS system.

  • VantagePoint is a customizable Web site offering.

  • SearchPoint is a lead-generation tool that aims to convert property shoppers into home buyers, and to retain those homeowners as longtime customers. Client profiles can be created to save searches, bookmark properties and enable automatic e-mail listing updates. These client profiles allow an agent to monitor who uses the search engine, the types of searches run and the types of properties sought.

  • CMA Deluxe creates Comparative Market Analyses geared to establishing an agent’s market expertise as it establishes a property’s fair list price for the seller.
