Project Blogger contestants share stories

Starting a real estate blog can be a) intimidating; b) exhilarating; c) time-consuming; or d) fun.

The answer is all of the above. Two of the industry’s newest bloggers and two veteran bloggers will share experiences during an Inman News audio conference, “Building From the Ground Up,” Monday, June 11, at 11 a.m. Pacific.

Project Blogger is a blogging competition co-sponsored by the ActiveRain Real Estate Network and Inman News. Twelve blogging coaches selected 12 apprentices to mentor and set on the path towards real estate blogging superstardom.

The winning team will be announced at the Bloggers Connect conference this summer in San Francisco. Bloggers Connect is a two-day real estate blogging and networking event slated for July 31-Aug 1 at the Palace Hotel.

The first Bloggers Connect conference includes panel sessions on finding your voice, monetizing your blog, utilizing your blog for online leads, social networking, widgets and more. The full conference program is available online.

Speakers include Anil Dash, chief evangelist at Six Apart; Matt Heaton, CEO of ActiveRain; and well-known industry bloggers Dustin Luther, Teresa Boardman, Ardell DellaLoggia, Marlow Harris and Pat Kitano, among others.

Bloggers Connect, hosted by Inman News, precedes the publishing company’s annual Real Estate Connect conference where technology innovators and top brokerage executives meet for three days of networking, debate and exposure to the latest online innovations in real estate.

This year’s Connect conference features Rich Barton, CEO of Zillow; Alex Perriello, president and CEO of Realogy Franchise Group; Craig Newmark, founder and customer service representative of craigslist.org; Pete Flint, CEO of Trulia; and many more.
