GapingVoid creator to keynote Real Estate Connect

Hugh MacLeod tops the speaker list at this year’s Real Estate Connect San Francisco, an Inman News event also featuring dozens of other visionaries and leading executives in both the real estate and technology industries.

Widely known for his insightful and often irreverent gapingvoid.com blog, MacLeod’s keynote address is titled “What is happening on the Web?”

Gapingvoid.com features “cartoons drawn on the back of business cards” and has enabled MacLeod to reach cult status throughout the Internet and technology communities.

MacLeod is also a consultant to Microsoft and the Marketing Strategist for Stormhoek, a South African vineyard whose Web 2.0 approach to wine making is currently getting a lot of international attention in the wine trade.

Also scheduled to speak at Real Estate Connect are Rich Barton, CEO of Zillow; Alex Perriello, president and CEO of Realogy Franchise Group; Craig Newmark, customer service representative and founder of craigslist.org; Pete Flint, CEO of Trulia; and many more.

The complete speaker lineup and conference program are available online.

Taking place Aug. 1-3 at The Palace Hotel in downtown San Francisco, Real Estate Connect is where technology innovators and top brokerage executives meet for three days of networking, debate and exposure to the latest online innovations in real estate. This year marks the 11th consecutive in which Real Estate Connect has occurred in the Bay Area.

Real Estate Connect SF ’07 also includes four pre-conferences: Internet Marketing Bootcamp, Connect TECH, Broker Internet Session and Bloggers Connect. Registration for all conferences runs until July 24, 2007.
