Food maker leases 250,000 square feet in Nashville

B&G Foods Inc., which produces, sells and distributes such brands as Ortega, Cream of Wheat and Emeril’s, has leased approximately 250,000 square feet of a recently completed facility in Nashville, Tenn.

The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

The property, Logistics Way, is a 570,000-square-foot bulk distribution building in the Southeast/Interchange City submarket that was developed through a joint venture between DCT Industrial and Logistics Way Investors LLC.

B&G Foods plans to use the facility to store and distribute its shelf-stable food products.

Greg Theile, vice president of distribution for B&G Foods, said in a statement that the building offers “an ideal location along Nashville’s primary distribution corridor” for nationwide distribution, as three major interstates flow into the metro area.
