U.S. Patent Office to occupy space in Arlington, Va.

Transwestern’s Mid-Atlantic region announced Monday that it negotiated a 10-year, 168,468-square-foot office lease agreement for space at 2800 S. Randolph Street in Arlington, Va.

Transwestern senior vice presidents, Matt Bundy and Joshua Masi, along with Monument’s Doug Olson and Bethany Allen, represented the landlord, Transwestern Monument Randolph Square LLC, and Studley’s Todd Valentine represented the tenant, United States Patent and Trademark Office, in the transaction.

Randolph Square is a joint venture between Washington, D.C.-based Monument Realty and Transwestern Investment Company, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.

2800 S. Randolph Street, commonly known as Randolph Square, is a 208,000-square-foot nine-story office complex currently under construction and scheduled to deliver April 2008. The property is located directly off the main thoroughfare of I-395 and is within minutes of downtown Washington, D.C. and Reagan National Airport.

A newly constructed parking garage located directly next to the building provides more than 700 spaces for the building.

Chicago-based Transwestern Investment Co. is a principal investment firm specializing in commercial real estate.
