Long-term mortgage interest rates rose again Tuesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield increased to 3.9 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average climbed to 5.92 percent, and the 15-year fixed rate increased to 5.37 percent. The 1-year adjustable rate rose to 4.99 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield was also higher at 4.67 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 10.99 points, or 0.09 percent, finishing at 12,337.22. The Nasdaq was down 15.6 points, or 0.67 percent, closing at 2,306.2.
