IHouse rolls out real estate pricing game

IHOUSE Web Solutions, a real estate technology company, has announced the launch of an online real estate game that allows users to guess at the sale price of for-sale homes. The game features photos and listing descriptions of actual for-sale homes, and awards points based on how a player’s guesses stack up against those of other players.

The free "Price Me Now" game, created by real estate gaming company Realius, is available at http://ihousegames.com for markets in Arizona, Illinois and North Carolina.

Realius also has plans to launch other real estate-related games. That company demonstrated its real estate games platform at last year’s TechCrunch40 Conference, which showcases new technologies by startup companies.

A version of the "Price Me Now" game is also available in the San Luis Obispo, Calif., real estate market through SLOHomeStore.com and in the San Francisco East Bay Area through Red Oak Realty.

IHouse, a division of CIS Data Systems Inc., builds real estate agent Web sites and offers other Web site-related products. The company has a network of about 13,000 customers and maintains data feeds with about 315 multiple listing services across the country.

Last week, real estate valuation and marketing site Zillow.com announced the launch of "Dueling Digs," a game that asks users to rate side-by-side comparisons of house photos and compares the ratings with those of other users.

The "Dueling Digs" and "Price Me Now" games both seek to grow site traffic while also drawing attention to for-sale properties.
