LandAmerica zeroes in on problem loans

LandAmerica app crunches loan portfolio
LandAmerica Financial Group Inc. is offering a new application to help mortgage lenders and servicers analyze their portfolios to identify potential problem loans and the best options for mitigating losses. The application, eZLoanOptimizer, reviews data collected in the course of originating and servicing loans, basing its analysis on more than 400 attributes. The application generates a report forecasting future loan performance, identifies individual loans with the greatest potential for loss, and recommends loss mitigation strategies that incorporate rules and guidelines developed by the American Securitization Forum, FHA, and the HOPE NOW coalition of loan servicers and investors.

Tool helps would-be home buyers pay off debts
A new debt-elimination planning tool can help would-be home buyers boost their credit score and position mortgage loan originators as trusted counselors, according to Cogent Road, a San Diego-based developer of Web-based software applications. Cogent Road’s Debt Free Wizard automatically loads an applicant’s current credit card debt. Other debts can be entered manually to generate a detailed action plan for repaying the balances as quickly as possible, based on the amount the applicant can commit to pay each month. The tool operates within Cogent Road’s Funding Suite Credit Report Management application, which interprets tradelines, detects data errors and predicts underwriting conditions for potential borrowers, the company said.

GoGoPin launches ad creation, distribution platform
GoGoPin, a subscription-based online marketing service that launched in July, allows real estate professionals to create and publish customized HTML-enabled ads for individual property listings information and distribute those to a range of Web sites, and also offers analytics to monitor ad performance and track leads. The Lynnwood, Wash.-based company offers design tools that allow agents to resize, reposition, rotate and change the transparency of images in ads, and to place unlimited photos on the ads. The tools also allow real estate professionals to import images from Flickr, Picasa and Photobucket. Other design elements include customized maps, YouTube video integration, photo galleries and a click-to-text message feature. Postlets and vFlyer are among the other companies that offer tools to create and disseminate online property ads.
