Take networking to the next level

Trouble with Twitter? Feeling left out on LinkedIn? Want to face your Facebook fears?

Daniel Rothamel, Inman News community manager and an active real estate agent and social media expert, will offer up advice on integrating social networking into your business plan during a Thursday, June 11, webinar, "Agent Tool Box 2.0: Next-Level Networking."

It is the first in a series of webinars on the "Agent Tool Box 2.0" theme. Other upcoming webinar topics will include: "Online Marketing," "Mobile Technologies and Organization Tools," and "Cutting Edge Communication," among others.

"The technology landscape has changed dramatically over recent years, and the change has impacted every industry, including real estate," says Rothamel. "Changes in technology have led to changes in the day-to-day practice of real estate for professionals."

The webinars will describe available tech tools for real estate professionals and "will also reveal strategies and techniques for using these tools effectively," Rothamel said.

The webinars are available at no charge for Inman News Premium Members.

The June 11 webinar will include a discussion of applications and tools available to help agents grow their sphere of influence, find new prospects, and turn their past clients into loyal fans.

Among the tools discussed in this first Agent Tool Box 2.0 webinar: Facebook, Plaxo, LinkedIn and Twitter.

"This is about more than just the tools, themselves," Rothamel said. "This is about how agents can use them effectively to enhance the things they have been doing for years. As an agent, myself, I’m always sensitive to the tendency to chase the shiny new thing.

"In this series, I hope that agents will see that these tools don’t mean they need to forget everything they’ve learned. Quite to the contrary, these tools help make their knowledge and experience that much more powerful."

The "Next-Level Networking" webinar will air at 1 p.m. Eastern Time (10 a.m. Pacific Time) on Thursday, June 11, 2009. Click here for details.
