7 ERA offices rebrand in New Jersey

Burgdorff Realtors ERA offices in New Jersey are being rebranded or consolidated into existing Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices following a decision by parent company NRT LLC to merge the two companies’ operations under a single banner.

Seven of 13 Burgdorff offices are being rebranded as Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, and the remaining six Burgdorff offices will be consolidated into existing Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage locations in the same communities.

More than 600 current Burgdorff sales associates are making the transition to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, NRT said in a press release, which will operates 63 offices with more than 3,700 sales associates serving communities in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y.

Pat Hoferkamp, president of Burgdorff ERA, and Ronnie Laiken, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey & Rockland County, N.Y., are stepping down from their posts but will remain with NRT and play a role in the merger, NRT said.

Hal Maxwell, who presided over the merger of four regional real estate companies as the top executive at NRT’s Baltimore and Washington, D.C., Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, has been named president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey & Rockland County.

A subsidiary of Realogy Corp., NRT operates Realogy’s company-owned real estate brokerage offices. Realogy’s company-owned and franchise brands also include Century 21, Sotheby’s International Realty, and Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, among others.
