Seattlepi.com partners with Zillow

The Web site of the defunct Seattle Post Intelligencer newspaper, seattlepi.com, is the latest of 180 news sites expected to offer co-branded versions of Zillow.com by the end of this year, the companies said today.

Zillow announced in April that it would "power" co-branded Web sites of 11 newspaper publishers, including the Post Intelligencer’s parent company, Hearst Newspapers.

Since then, Zillow has launched co-branded sites with 163 newspapers nationwide, providing the company’s property search, valuation "Zestimates," and local market data to papers including the Tampa Tribune and Richmond Times Dispatch.

Although Hearst pulled the plug on the print edition of the Seattle Post Intelligencer in March, the company claims seattlepi.com continues to attract 3.7 million readers per month.

Other publishers in the "Zillow Newspaper Consortium" are Media General Inc. The E.W. Scripps Co., MediaNews Group,  Community Newspaper Holdings Inc.,  Morris Communications Co., and Philadelphia Media Holdings.
