ZipRealty launches free iPhone app

ZipRealty Real Estate is the latest real estate brokerage to release a free iPhone application as a part of its marketing strategy. House hunters on the go now have access to the brokerage’s listings in 4,897 cities and neighborhoods nationwide.

Through their ZipRealty accounts, homebuyers can search available homes that meet their personal criteria, and view photos, prices and third-party estimated values. Buyers can also contact a ZipRealty agent in one click.

"ZipRealty constantly looks for ways to give our clients faster access to as much pertinent information as possible, and our version one iPhone app is just the first of our upcoming mobile tools," said Myron Lo, ZipRealty’s vice president of innovation, in a statement.

The application syncs with Google Maps to allow users to see homes currently on the market and provides GPS-enabled driving or walking directions to explore new neighborhoods. Users also have access to homes bookmarked using the Web version and can save new bookmarks in the mobile version.

Founded in 1999, ZipRealty operates in 36 major markets in 22 states and in Washington, D.C.
