Corcoran joins ResidentialNYC.com

NEW YORK — Real estate brokerage company The Corcoran Group on Wednesday announced that it is adding its previously exclusive listings to a free public property search site powered by Trulia.

ResidentialNYC.com is the real estate listings Web site for The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), which has more than 12,000 members. The move doubles the site’s listings to an average of almost 10,000 properties in New York City.

Listings are updated every three hours on the site and users are not required to log on in order to search, the company said.

"The timing was right for us. ResidentialNYC.com is a consumer-friendly site that offers easy search and requires no registration. We are pleased with how the site has developed," said Pamela Liebman, president and CEO of The Corcoran Group, in a statement.

"The addition of Corcoran’s thousands of exclusive listings makes ResidentialNYC.com an even better resource for consumers," said Steven Spinola, president of REBNY, in a statement.

Since it was founded in September 2007, ResidentialNYC.com has received more than 35 million hits, the company said. The site lets users search both rental and sales property listings by neighborhood, by borough, by price, by type and by size of home. It also shows open houses and maps neighborhood amenities like schools, banks, grocery stores and gas stations.

Users who click "View More Details" on a listing provided by Corcoran are directed to the brokerage’s Web site where, in addition to particulars about the property itself, they can find easily accessible neighborhood information, purchase cost analysis and mortgage calculators, and local weather.
