Real Living conversions continue

Following the first rebranding of a Miami brokerage earlier this month, three more brokerages are the latest franchisees to convert to the Real Living Real Estate brand following a merger with GMAC Real Estate, according to a release issued Monday.

Arizona-based Sonoran Properties GMAC Real Estate is now Real Living Premier Partners, with three offices and more than 125 agents and staff. Florida-based 1st Knight Realty GMAC Real Estate is now Real Living at 1st Knight Realty, and Minnesota-based Home to Home GMAC Real Estate is now Real Living Home to Home.

Each company had its own reasons for converting to the Real Living brand, the release said.

"Real Living is a national real estate company known for being innovative and forward-thinking," said Pam Rankin, broker-owner of Real Living Premier Partners.

"The industry is looking for a company to step up, be unique and be a leader. That’s exactly the kind of company we were looking and hoping to join, and we’re extremely happy to be a part of Real Living’s national growth."

In November 2009, Toronto-based company Brookfield Residential Property Services announced a merger of GMAC Real Estate and Real Living, with the intention of combining operations under the Real Living brand. Conversions to the brand will continue throughout 2010, according to RealLiving.com.

The merged Real Living operations will total 10,000 agents and 600 offices and an annual sales volume estimated at about $20 billion, according to November’s announcement.

Brookfield, which operates Royal LePage and other real estate brands in Canada, acquired GMAC Home Services LLC in September 2008.
