The Chicago Association of Realtors will take part in a nationwide open house this weekend, April 10-11, the association announced.
The association will be joining other state and local associations around the country hoping to remind potential homebuyers of the approaching April 30 deadline to take advantage of the federal homebuyer tax credits.
Buyers must have signed a contract on a home by that date in order to collect a credit of up to $8,000 for first-timers and up to $6,500 for repeat buyers. They have until June 30 to close.
