Vyoo.it makes listings info mobile

Online marketing platform Postlets has announced a new mobile tool to streamline how consumers view listings on mobile devices.

Vyoo.it optimizes property listings for mobile devices by sizing them for small screens. Each mobile "vyoo" of a property features four tabs: 1. "Home," which includes property features and a description, including a photo and contact information for the listing agent; 2. "Photos," which calls up additional images; 3. "Map," which pulls up the address for the listing either on an embedded Google map or, for iPhone users, on the native Google Maps app; and 4. "Local," which includes information on local amenities provided by Walk Score and on local schools provided by Education.com.

To see vyoo.it at work, compare this original listing on the Postlets site and its mobile version at vyoo.it/fw2rr. In order to see the mobile version properly, the URL must be accessed through a smart phone. Vyoo.it is currently optimized for iPhones and Android-based devices; the company plans to create optimized versions for BlackBerry, Nokia and other smart phones in the future.

A few differences between the original listing and the vyoo: because the vyoo has four tabs by default, the original listing’s "Features," "Website," and "Virtual Tour" tabs are not included. The map of schools under the original "Schools" tab is also not included. Instead, school addresses are listed.

Any real estate listing can be turned into a vyoo, including listings from a brokerage website or a single-property website, the company said. The free tool also provides real estate agents with shortened URLs that are easy to remember, such as vyoo.it/123market, and is working on providing customizable URLs.

Vyoo.it will also provide a Quick Response ("QR") code for each listing, the company said. QR codes are two-dimensional bar codes similar to those found on retail merchandise. The coded images can be downloaded in PNG format and attached to print marketing materials so that consumers can scan them with their smart phones and immediately be taken to an online "vyoo" of the listing (view a sample).

The company also plans to offer printed goods in the future, such as sign riders, decals and fliers, that include a URL and QR code.

Agents can sign up for vyoo.it through Facebook, according to the company.
