An agent-only site for property listings

A California real estate agent has created an agent-only site for homes that aren’t currently listed for sale. At Agent2AgentLink.com, agents can post listings that are coming to market but that haven’t yet been posted on a multiple listing service.

Sellers in some cases may keep "pocket listings" out of the MLS for privacy reasons, and others may be planning to sell but haven’t yet put their home on the market. Buyer agents can use the site to post information about what their clients are looking for in a house, in the hopes that another agent has a listing that will fulfill those wishes.

When a listing hits the MLS, it is removed from the site, according to Catherine Deeth, the site’s president and founder who is a real estate agent with North Bay Property Advisors in Santa Rosa, Calif.

"Seminars, MLS meetings, office meetings and one-on-one meetings are great ways to share our upcoming listings and/or buyer’s wants — the goal being to make things happen faster, to be ahead of what is coming on the market, to be a better, more informed agent. Agent2AgentLink.com does what we are already doing, but on a much larger scale," according to a site description.

The network is private and only for agents — license numbers are verified through state real estate regulatory agencies.

Agent2AgentLink.com launched in September 2008 and has 220 agents. Agents pay about $10 a month for the service with a 10 percent discount for yearly subscribers. The site is available nationally, but agents are currently concentrated in Northern California.
