ZipLogix releases Spanish-language user interface

CORRECTION: The original headline contained an error. The user interface is now available in Spanish while the actual forms are in English.

ZipLogix, a company that specializes in electronic real estate documents, has released a Spanish-language user interface for subscribers of the company’s zipForm and Relay software applications.

ZipLogix is operated as a joint venture by California Association of Realtors’ subsidiary Real Estate Business Services Inc. and the National Association of Realtors.

The Spanish-language option is available on the company’s electronic forms software zipForm 6 Professional and zipForm 6 Standard as well as on its Web-based transaction management system Relay. Users will be able to toggle between English and Spanish.

"Spanish is written and spoken by the second-largest population group in the United States. For the segment of this community that practices real estate, using software with only an English interface sometimes presents a problem," the company said in a press release.

"(The new feature) allows the user to have a higher sense of transparency with their Spanish-speaking clients and helps clients understand the software interface. The ability to switch between the two languages provides convenience for thousands of Spanish-speaking real estate professionals and their clients during the sometimes confusing transaction process," the company added.

Separately, zipLogix also announced that three Realtor associations have adopted their new electronic signature product, zipLogix Digital Ink, as a member benefit: the California Association of Realtors, the Arizona Association of Realtors and the South Carolina Association of Realtors. Combined, the associations have about 220,000 members.

ZipLogix Digital Ink is integrated with zipForm 6 software. When a user digitally signs a document, that "signature is permanently embedded within the document and can never be separated from it, proving the document has not been altered," the company said.

The product is powered by digital signature development company SIGNiX.

"ZipLogix Digital Ink helps streamline the real estate transaction, saving our members time and money and eliminating errors so that they can better serve their clients," said Steve Goddard, CAR’s president, in a statement.

ZipLogix also integrated DocuSign’s e-signature product into zipForm 6 in May 2010. The National Association of Realtors offers DocuSign as a discounted benefit available to all members.
