Trulia to offer international search

Trulia.com says it’s partnering with a Classified Ad Ventures subsidiary, ListGlobally, to provide international home search capabilities to users.

Trulia will be ListGlobally’s exclusive partner in the U.S. for international real estate search, launching international search capabilities in the first half of 2011.

"We live in a global marketplace and more and more Americans are expanding their home search beyond U.S. borders," Trulia CEO and co-founder Pete Flint said in a statement. "Our users are moving overseas for jobs or they may be interested in second homes and places to retire."

ListGlobally currently offers listings from 17 countries, and plans to expand that coverage. Partners in ListGlobally’s network include rightmove.co.uk, iProperty.com sites (Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong), propertyfinder.ae (United Arab Emirates), 99acres.com (India), and immobilienscout24.de (Germany). Sites slated to be added include seloger.com (France), idealista.com (Spain), and immobiliare.it (Italy).

Zillow incorporates agent ratings into search process

Consumers searching for real estate agents on Zillow.com will now see results sorted according to those who have received the highest overall ratings and the greatest number of reviews by Zillow users.

Zillow began accepting agent reviews in December. Now that thousands of consumers have submitted ratings, the real estate website today said it’s incorporated those ratings into the agent search process.

Consumers search for local agents in the Zillow Directory, and compare ratings and reviews to find an agent that’s best for them.

"Agent reviews are another huge step towards transparency for buyers and sellers," said Zillow CEO Spencer Rascoff in a statement. "For good agents, it’s a terrific way to stand out from the crowd — the next best thing to a referral."

Current and former clients can rate and review agents if the agents have Zillow profiles. Consumers can access ratings and reviews everywhere they interact with agents on Zillow.com, including the agent question-and-answer forum, Zillow Advice.

Homes.com gets RE/MAX listings

Homes.com has entered into an advertising partnership with RE/MAX LLC to showcase the franchisor’s 150,000 listings on the site, which Web metrics firm Hitwise ranked as the seventh-most popular real estate portal in January.

The partnership follows a pilot program in the Central Florida and Mid-Atlantic markets that the companies said generated 7,000 additional leads for RE/MAX associates and more than 1.3 million additional listing views.

Homes.com, a division of Dominion Enterprises, claims 5.5 million monthly visitors and nearly 4 million properties for sale or rent.
