HomeServices grows real estate presence in Omaha

Berkshire Hathaway affiliate HomeServices of America Inc. says it’s expanding its real estate footprint in the Omaha, Neb., market by acquiring Bellevue-based Hansen Realty.

Hansen Realty, which has been affiliated with Century 21 since 1976, will merge with CBSHOME Real Estate, which HomeServices acquired in 1998. Hansen Realty’s Bellevue location will be referred to as CBSHOME’s Twin Creek office.

Hansen Realty founder John Hansen "will continue to play an integral role in the ongoing success of CBSHOME Real Estate" as national director of military relations, HomeServices said in a press release.

"This is an important step in strengthening CBSHOME’s position within key suburban Omaha markets," said CBSHOME’s President and CEO Joe Valenti in a statement. "With Hansen Realty’s existing market share, we are immediately positioned for continued growth."

According to the company’s website, CBSHOME has 500 licensed agents working in eight sales offices.

Hansen Realty lists a roster of 36 brokers and agents on its website, and boasts of the company’s "strong community ties" in Bellevue, Papillion, Offutt Air Force Base and Sarpy County.
