California Regional MLS begins Point2 rollout

California’s statewide multiple listing service has begun a rollout of Point2’s real estate listing syndication and marketing program, Point2 announced today.

Point2 and California Regional MLS signed a marketing agreement in December. This initial rollout includes 13 member associations. The companies plan to launch the program in all 23 member associations by the end of the first quarter to reach a total of 26,000 Realtors.

As part of the agreement, the MLS will publish Realtors’ listings to Point2’s syndication network, which includes nearly 60 real estate consumer websites, search engines, classifieds and auction sites, Point2 said. The agreement also covers any future CRMLS member associations.

"Today’s market demands that brokers and agents maximize online visibility for their listings. The automation of this highly time-consuming and error-prone effort is a primary benefit of this program," said Art Carter, CEO of CRMLS, in a statement.

Also today, Chicago-area multiple listing service Midwest Real Estate Data LLC (MRED) announced it will offer Cloud CMA as a member benefit. Cloud CMA will provide the MLS with comparative market analyses, buyer guides and property reports that combine MLS data with information from websites such as Google, Zillow, Education.com, Walk Score and Yelp.

"Cloud CMA will enable our customers to create CMAs and personalized reports that are unique and give their clients the full spectrum of real estate information," said Russ Bergeron, CEO of MRED, in a statement.

MRED signed a licensing agreement with Cloud CMA in November. All 40,000 of MRED’s members now have access to the Web-based tool.
