Real estate startup launches off-market listings portal

Real estate agents and brokers have a new portal for off-market properties. Palo Alto, Calif.-based startup company Producers Forum, Inc. today formally launched a national Web-based "matchmaking" portal for real estate professionals.

Agents and brokers can post sellers’ off-market properties and buyers’ property desires, such as bedroom and bathroom configuration, city, and square footage, to the portal while keeping the names of both private. They can then search for matches in the portal database for both.

The Producers Forum portal is membership-based and open to all real estate sales professionals. Members keep track of their buyer and sellers matches through a dashboard.

They can also search the portal for listings and send messages to community members. The national service has launched first in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. So far, nearly 500 sales professionals in the area have signed up, the company told Inman News.

Eric Trailer, co-founder and CEO, said the company plans to expand "market by market" across the country. "In addition to founders’ capital, Producers Forum has successfully raised funding from several outside investors," Trailer said.
