Company rolls out Android app for foreclosure search

Mobile applications company Visionary Apps has launched a version of its foreclosure property search mobile application for the Google Android platform.

The company released its Complete Foreclosures app for the Apple iPhone in early 2010. Like the iPhone app, the Android app is powered exclusively by foreclosure data provider RealtyTrac.

The app has more than 1.5 million foreclosure listings from more than 2,200 U.S. counties, including properties in preforeclosure, scheduled for auction or bank owned (REO). The app is free to download and provides full data for more than 800,000 listings and limited information for the remainder of listings.

Full data for all listings is available for RealtyTrac subscribers and those who sign up for a seven-day free trial subscription to RealtyTrac.

According to the latest report from metrics company comScore Inc., the Android platform has 44.8 percent market share among smartphone owners — more than any other platform and growing.
