Windermere spinoff rolls out agent websites

A technology company spun off from Seattle-based Windermere Real Estate has launched its first product, Agent Websites, the company announced earlier this month.

Windermere Solutions was formed in January with a focus "on building products that strengthen the relationship between agents and brokers," the company said.

While Windermere Real Estate affiliates are the tech company’s primary customers, Windermere Solutions is offering its products to all real estate companies.

Agent Websites include property search; the ability to save searches and listings; a listing history tool; email contact forms; tools to gather and feature client testimonials; quick links to an agent’s Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn profiles; custom flier generation; search engine optimization; and a variety of customizable templates and pages, according to the company.

The company rolled out Agent Websites to Windermere agents in mid-October and since then more than 2,500 of the network’s 7,000 agents have set up new websites, the company said.

"You do not have to be a technology wizard to get these sites up and running," said John Jones, Windermere Solutions’ CEO, in a statement.

"They are designed so that agents can set up the site quickly and customize it to meet their personal style and brand, and then get back to the business of real estate."

The company says it plans to release several additional products, including one for mobile devices, in 2012.
