Trulia adds CFO, general counsel

Today, the San Francisco-based online real estate search and marketing company Trulia announced a new chief financial officer and general counsel — the moves are perhaps not surprising based on the company’s plans to pursue an initial public offering.

Sean Aggarwal, previously vice president of finance at Paypal and chief financial officer for the U.S. section of eBay, will be Trulia’s new chief financial officer, and former vice president and general counsel of Imperva, Scott Darling, will serve as Trulia’s new general counsel.

Zillow, one of Trulia’s chief competitors, launched a successful IPO earlier this year.

"I expect Sean and Scott’s impact, experience and insights to immediately help us navigate an exciting path at rapid speed," wrote Trulia CEO and co-founder Pete Flint in a blog post about the hires.

Trulia, which now has 250-plus employees, opened a 16,000-square-foot office in Denver late last year, and the company also has offices in San Francisco and New York.
