Calling all real estate innovators

Inman News is inviting real estate technologists to demonstrate their latest and greatest innovations during "Demo Day," a technology showcase event planned from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, March 30, at Inman News headquarters in Alameda, Calif.

Demo Day offers a free venue for startups and existing real estate technology companies and entrepreneurs to share and discuss their tech tools, features and services with the Inman News editorial staff by scheduling time for demonstrations and Q-and-A.

The event will help inform the Inman News editorial department about new tech innovations and trends, and to experience firsthand what breakthroughs the real estate industry is buzzing about.

Inman News chief evangelist Chris Smith, social media director Katie Lance, conference content producer Natalie Fonseca, and managing editor Glenn Roberts Jr. are scheduled to attend this inaugural event. Lance also serves as contributing editor for InmanNext.com, an agent-focused sister site to Inman.com, and Smith is a leading contributor to InmanNext.

Inman News founder and publisher Brad Inman will be on hand to meet with attendees during a luncheon that is open to all Demo Day attendees.

All participants in Demo Day must have a product or service that is directly applicable to the real estate industry, whether its intended users are homebuyers and sellers, renters, landlords, real estate agents, brokers, mortgage and title professionals, multiple listing service or trade association staff or executives, property managers or developers.

The product or service should have begun development or launched within the past year.

All participants will be allowed to deliver a 10-minute presentation, followed by a five-minute Q-and-A session with Inman News staff. Wi-Fi will be available for the demonstrations, and other technology accommodations are also available.

Participants may choose to demo multiple products and services, but they must do so within the same 10-minute time frame.

Presentations will be recorded, and participants may be featured in upcoming Inman News articles.

Examples of what we’d like to see at Demo Day: real estate app developers, new real estate brokerage business models, startup real estate Web services, and new technologies and features from existing real estate technologists and companies.

(Note: Inman News editorial staff cannot sign any nondisclosure agreements, though Inman News will consider embargoes set for prelaunch technologies that have not yet been aired publicly.)

Fill out the form below if you’re interested in attending — there are only 24 available appointment times, and attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis. The online application is also available here:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/demoday12.
